The Endurable Peace and Unity Ambassadors Initiative notes with deep concern the resurgence of inter-communal tensions in several local government areas of Southern Kaduna. Based on credible reports from our Early Warning Network, we are issuing this public statement to call for immediate preventive action.

ENPUAI calls upon:

• The Kaduna State Government to engage community leaders in affected LGAs directly and immediately, deploying conflict resolution officers alongside security responses;
• Traditional, religious, and community leaders to de-escalate verbal attacks and social media messaging that inflames tensions in their areas;
• Civil society organisations with Southern Kaduna presence to coordinate responses through ENPUAI’s multi-stakeholder platform to avoid duplication;
• The Federal Government to accelerate execution of its National Peace Policy commitments in conflict-affected communities.
